Jim will lead you in rhythm fun! We will use items from around our homes for drum games and shaker fun along with popular music. Themes for rhythms revolve around popular and fun subjects!
Suggested Materials:
Rhythms can be played on objects you have already. Buckets, boxes, coffee containers, etc. Easy shakers can be made using bottles or other containers that are filled partially with beads, popcorn seeds, macaroni noodles, rice, etc.
About the Instructor:
Jim Turk has worked with AFA since 2016, teaching music and drumming classes and residencies. He holds a Masters degree in biotechnology and was formerly the Assistant Director of Safety at UW-Madison.
