The Milwaukee Choir rehearses weekly on Mondays 6 - 7:30pm with Choir Director Miriam Larsen.
Participation in AFA choirs provides opportunities for people with and without disabilities to engage in the performing arts while boosting self-esteem and de-stigmatizing the lives of those living with disabilities.
Many of our choir members have been with their choir for over a decade and rely on the socialization and structure that the rehearsals and performances provide in their lives. AFA choir members learn about pitch, tone, rhythm, movement, and composition. AFA Choirs incorporate instruments such as tone chimes, drums, and rhythm sticks to broaden the musical experience and maximize participation from everyone.
The Milwaukee AFA choir will present a free winter concert on Monday, December 7, 2026. The concert is open to the public. Donations always accepted!
*Rehearsals are 90 minutes per week.
