This fun and
energetic class is designed to provide children with disabilities the
opportunity to explore dance and movement in a safe and adaptive
environment. Using a multi-sensory approach along with different themes,
the dancer is given the opportunity to experience a variety of music
and dance styles. A mixture of props, such as hoops, ribbons, feathers
and scarves may be used to help encourage imagination and aid in the
development of motor, sensory, coordination and social skills. This
class is taught by Teaching Artist Alicyn Stephens
Parent/caregiver/therapist participation is welcomed.
