This class is specially designed for children with disabilities who are eager to participate in a traditional dance class setting but may face challenges with participating. It serves as a bridge between a movement-based class and a more structured dance experience, providing a supportive environment to explore and grow.
Participants will be introduced to a variety of dance styles, with a primary focus on jazz and hip hop, while also having the opportunity to explore modern, tap, and other genres. Participants may wear dance attire, workout attire, tennis shoes or jazz shoes. Parent or caregiver participation is not required for this class.
The class is led by teaching artist Alicyn Stephens. To ensure the class aligns with each participant's needs, families are encouraged to consult with Alicyn Stephens or Director of Dance Education, Sarah Jacobson to determine eligibility and ensure the class is a good fit.
Tuition: ARTS for ALL Wisconsin offers two separate tuition options for participants, based on whether the participant receives funding from a fiscal agency or if costs are paid out of pocket. As you register, you will be prompted to choose the tuition option that works best for your participant.
