From port de bras to twirling to gracefully gliding across the room, young dancers will have the opportunity to experience a range of ballet movements, inspired by ballet and lyrical dance. These classes are geared towards children ages 7-12 years with diverse abilities who want to learn ballet, yet have difficulty participating in a traditional ballet class. A mixture of props, such as hoops, feathers, ribbons and scarves may be used to help encourage imagination and the development of motor, sensory, coordination and social skills.
Parent/caregiver participation is not required.
Adaptive Ballet for Youth is taught by Teaching Artist Sarah Jacobson.
Requirement: To ensure that this class is right for your participant, the participant should first attend a ConfiDANCE 1 class. Alternatively, parents/care providers may speak with Teaching Artist Sarah Jacobson to ensure eligibility for this class.
Tuition: ARTS for ALL Wisconsin offers two separate tuition options for participants, based on whether the participant receives funding from a fiscal agency or if costs are paid out of pocket. As you register, you will be prompted to choose the tuition option that works best for your participant.
